How did we get here

In March of 2014 a team from Grace Church traveled to serve alongside ALARM’s ministries in Rwanda to facilitate a LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE for 50 government, community and church leaders centered around servant leadership, Biblical principles and good governance.

"I will never forget hearing one of the participants express their gratitude as he assured us that they would remember what we had shared and he promised to be different when we returned. As we talked about best practices in leadership and read God’s word together – it truly felt as though we were standing on holy ground as God worked in and through this conference." -- Corinne Gunter

This initial conference has led to Grace Church partnering with ALARM to equip and empower a co-hort of 55 female leaders through the Women’s Leadership Training Institute (WLTI). These women were selected because they are key influencers and leaders in their communities and churches. The WLTI includes intensive week-long residential conferences that cover everything from basic health and life skills to trauma healing to Biblical theology to leadership development to conflict resolution, economic empowerment and community development.

Phase I was completed in August of 2018 when the WLTI participants graduated. and are using what they’ve learned to provide hope and healing to their communities and churches.

PHASE II involves a select group of WLTI graduates who will become Trainers of Trainers (TOT) through additional training to increase their knowledge and skill by mastering the WLTI content and growing in their ability to train other leaders across the country.

100% of each donation goes directly to ALARM to cover the cost of training the WLTI graduates.
