The closest thing to heaven is listening to 55 Rwandan women sing in their native tongue, "Who can stop us from praising our God? No one."

This is how we began the first day of the WLTI conference focused on leadership development and mentoring. With echoes of perfect harmony reverberating off the walls of the ALARM center conference room, we danced and clapped and sang while welcoming the Holy Spirit to inhabit our time together. We witnessed a holy encounter between the attendees and their God. Completely unhindered and unselfconscious, their worship was awe-inspiring for our team.

One thing is abundantly clear: The women who are in attendance at this conference love each other, and they love us too. 1 John 4:12 says, "No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us." Our team has seen this verse in action through the attendees at the WLTI conference.

Love is the most important thing. Our hope is that this conference will give these courageous leaders the skills to love their communities even better through skills such as managing conflict, problem solving, and mentoring.

Will you partner with us by praying that this week will be characterized by abounding love?
